Become an InfoPoint in Skellefteå Municipality

Help us get more people to discover the fantastic Skellefteå!

As part of our hospitality initiative – and to provide visitors around Skellefteå with world-class service – we’re now launching official InfoPoints at strategic locations across the destination.

What is an InfoPoint?

Personal interaction is often what people value most, alongside our popular attractions. While we meet guests and visitors through many digital channels and at the Tourist Center, we believe that face-to-face encounters where people already are will become even more important. An InfoPoint can be a gallery, a shop, a hotel, or a gas station. What makes it an InfoPoint are the people – their passion, local knowledge, and commitment.

When your business becomes an InfoPoint, you’ll receive:

  • Training/information about the role and basic hospitality knowledge about Skellefteå.

  • Certification (a diploma for your premises and visibility in our channels as an official InfoPoint).

  • Ongoing updates about major events and happenings.

  • A brochure stand and regularly updated material about Skellefteå as a destination.

  • A valuable and engaging network.

Is there a cost?

No! Being an InfoPoint is completely free of charge. You and your staff will need to dedicate a bit of time to a brief training and to stay updated, but in return, your business gains extended hospitality, new skills – and hopefully, more curious visitors.

What’s expected of me?

Your enthusiasm for Skellefteå is key. In addition, your staff should receive a short training session, and you’ll need to set aside a small space for the brochure stand. You’re also responsible for keeping the stand stocked and ordering new brochures and maps from Skellefteå Tourist Center as needed.

How do I apply?

It’s easy! Start by contacting Anna Bodell, Tourist Information Officer and InfoPoint Coordinator at Skellefteå Tourist Center: anna.bodell@visitskelleftea.se

Willingness and enthusiasm are the most important factors – but of course, we also consider geographic spread when selecting new InfoPoints.
