At Jörn's Library, you can see ten authors divided into six author talks shown on our projector screen during the spring of 2025, via Library Play, which is a streaming service from Stockholm City Library.
The author talks are recorded from Malmö City Library and today you get to meet the Palestinian-American poet author Fady Joudah in conversation with Athena Farrokhzad.
The conversation will be held in English.
Fady Joudah was born in 1971 and has published six acclaimed and award-winning collections of poetry. Last autumn, he was introduced to Swedish readers with the collection “[…]”, translated by Johannes Anyuru and Athena Farrokhzad. “[…]” was written during the late autumn and winter of 2023, with Gaza as its point of departure. It poetically and uniquely portrays the piece of contemporary history that Joudah refers to as the time of erasure.
