On May 6, Sara kulturhus' acclaimed lecture series THINK continues as one of Sweden's leading architecture critics, Mark Isitt, takes the stage.

In his lecture Architecture – Help or Hinder?, Mark Isitt invites the audience on a fast-paced and creative journey exploring how architecture shapes our lives—often without us even noticing. With his unique perspective and engaging approach, Isitt will guide listeners through the opportunities and challenges of the built environment.

About Mark Isitt
Mark Isitt is a journalist and author, born and raised on the island of Marstrand. He has covered urban development, architecture, and design since the late 1980s and has been published in both Swedish and international magazines. As an architecture critic for Göteborgs-Posten, he has established himself as one of Sweden’s most influential voices in the field. He has also served as editor-in-chief of the Nordic quarterly magazine Forum and is a sought-after lecturer and jury member in the worlds of design and architecture.

Isitt has written and contributed to several books on architecture and urban planning, including works on Gert Wingårdh, Thomas Sandell, and Claesson Koivisto Rune. In 2019, he was awarded the Critics' Prize by Architects Sweden, and in 2020, he received the Olle Engkvist Medal for his "high-quality journalism." Mark is also the host of Stadsinspektionen on Swedish Radio P1, where he has explored urban planning and architecture in Swedish cities since 2015. In addition, since 2020, he has been the host of Grand Designs Sverige on TV4, where he meets hopeful homebuilders and follows them on their journey to creating their dream home.
