In the northern part of the Skellefteå archipelago lies the island Hamnskär, a popular summer destination. On the island there is only one old pilot cottage with an attached annex. In total there are seven beds, divided into three rooms.
There is no electricity. No running water. You prepare the food over an open fire or on the gas stove. You get there by boat, a 15 minute trip starting from Furuögrund Harbour Café.
Hamnskär’s rounded cliffs are propbably one of the region’s best places to experience the bright northern summer nights – this is an idyll of course, and is no other than a real understatement.
