Horses and Snow
Horses of Taiga is situated in the small village of Svansele. Just a few steps away from a natural reserve and only a hundred kilometres away from the Arctic Circle, the farm is situated at the door of Lapland, this wonderful and mystical polar region, the land of snow, ice, berries, reindeers and elks. All around us we can enjoy the peaceful and wild feeling of the boreal forest.
On a small trustworthy Icelandic horse or on a strong and steady North Swedish horse, it is in this mysterious and quiet landscape that we offer you to ride, for one day or for a whole week. You will participate to the preparation: gathering the equipment, brushing and saddling the horses and even cooking in the wilderness on a wood fire! During the day, you go for a real adventure on horseback, riding through the forest on all the exciting paths the region offers. A visit of a reindeer farm, dogsledding, a horse sleigh ride and other activities are also available during your stay. Local food and traditional meals are also part of the experience!
